Existing workers wishing to upskill will be able to undertake training under the Productivity Places Program through a number of strategies. Traineeships are fully structured training programs that are Government accredited and consist of a prescribed list of skills and competencies to be achieved by the Trainee.

The focus is on learning practical skills and competence in the Trainee workplace supplemented by evaluation from the Trainee’s supervisors and assessors.
